This partnership is the first of its kind for HFC and represents a component of President Stan Jensen\u2019s vision for the College\u2019s future. The new University Center is currently located on the first floor in the HFC Welcome Center.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur collaboration with Siena Heights University on this new University Center will serve as a model for future endeavors like this, and provides a strong foundation for increased student success,\u201d Jensen said. \u201cProviding students the opportunity to complete their first years of college at HFC and save money, then work toward their bachelor\u2019s degree on campus at a high-quality four-year institution like Siena Heights gives them the best of both worlds. They save money, work toward their degree and remain close to home. We\u2019re confident this model will be attractive to all students,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Some of the important benefits of HFC\u2019s partnership with SHU include the following:<\/p>\n

\u2022 SHU undergraduate and graduate classes offered at HFC;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Availability of evening, weekend and hybrid classes;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Personalized advising; and<\/p>\n

\u2022 Transfer-friendly policies and guarantees.<\/p>\n

\u201cSiena Heights University is pleased to expand its presence in metro Detroit with its partnership with HFC,\u201d said SHU President Sister Peg Albert, OP, PhD. \u201cBy allowing Siena Heights to offer bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degree programs on its campus, HFC is providing even more opportunities for students to continue their education on the Dearborn campus,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

HFC expects to enter into partnership agreements with three to five additional Michigan-based universities in an effort to offer students greater opportunities for upper-level undergraduate and graduate programs at the university level.<\/p>\n

SHU will offer a number of programs at HFC to start. Some of these programs include<\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s of Applied Science (BAS) degree programs;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s of Multidisciplinary Studies (BA) degree programs;<\/p>\n

\u2022 Master\u2019s of Arts in Organizational Leadership (MA) degree program (taken online); and<\/p>\n

\u2022 Master\u2019s of Arts in Health Care Leadership (MA) degree program (taken online).<\/p>\n
